Duke of
Edinburgh Award
Adventure
Cardiff is experienced in providing training,
assessments and expeditions for the Duke
of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme from Bronze to Gold Level.
The availability to provide a wide range of
activities for the Award also allows the Physical
section to be delivered through rowing, sailing,
windsurfing and paddlesport.
Adventure
Cardiff can also tailor make training relevant to the
proposed expedition.

Pay and Play/Access to Slipway
Pay and
Play allows access to the Slipway, River and Bay,
creating access for the launching of privately owned
craft. Access to the Slipway and Pay and Play are
subject to Harbour Authority guidelines which are on
display at Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre.
Children
must be aged 8 years plus and accompanied by a qualified
adult. Adults aged 18 years plus must be at the helm and
in charge at all times with powered vessels. Adult and
University College courses require a minimum age of 16.

Coach Education
The BCU coaching scheme - The scheme and awards
structure is currently being redeveloped. As an approved
WCA centre, Adventure Cardiff facilitates the full range
of new courses at Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre.
